To include women in different time zones, we are making recordings available! We encourage you to plan 3 full days in your own time zone to watch the sessions in as close to real time as possible 🙂
How To Use Zoom
**Zoom recently updated!** To make the most of your Zoom sessions — or if you find you are having viewing or sound issues — we advise you to update to the most recent version of Zoom. You can click here for a quick video that shows you how to update!
A computer or laptop with a camera device and an Internet connection
- Your meeting access information
- A headset or earbuds (optional but recommended)
- A smartphone if you’re unable to receive video via your computer, laptop, or device
Download / Connect to Zoom: Download the Zoom Software here (or connect to the event, if already downloaded)
TIP: Make sure you have a strong internet connection. We suggest closing other programs to ensure you have adequate bandwidth.
Zoom Test Room: You can test your connection to Zoom prior to the scheduled time by visiting the Zoom Test Room Here.
QUICK Checklist for a ZOOM:
To raise your hand, click on the “Participant” icon in the center bottom of your screen. A pop up screen will open. In the bottom left corner will be the option “Raise Your Hand.” Click on that icon and wait for the teacher or the audio engineer to call your name and unmute your microphone. Please note that the locations of these icons may appear in slightly different locations depending on your device.
If at any point you don’t wish to be visible in the Zoom room, click the Video icon to either STOP or START your camera. You will still be able to hear the audio portion of the event when choosing STOP, but the other participants won’t be able to see you.
There are two view options available with Zoom: Gallery View or Speaker View.
Gallery View allows you to see one large view with multiple smaller screens of participants.
Speaker View allows you to see the person speaking as a larger image and rotates with whoever has the floor.
You can choose either Gallery or Speaker View by clicking on the icon in the upper right corner of your screen.
Please use the CHAT feature within Zoom and our Support Team will assist you during the call. At the bottom of your screen, you will see the “Chat” button, which will open a box for you to type your question.
